How we can help

Osteopathy is a natural treatment philosophy, which seeks to identify areas of the body that are not functioning optimally then gently ease these restrictions so that normal function can resume.

There is not one technique that is specific to osteopathy, but its practice demands the body be addressed as a whole unit and consideration be given to all of its components: Body, Mind, and Spirit.

This is based on the primary respiratory mechanism (PRM) which is an important function for the body. It can cause many health problems when this system is not working properly.

The system was described by William Sutherland, D.O., in the 1930s. He taught the osteopathic profession about how the bones of the skull move in an autonomous, rhythmic manner that controls the cerebrospinal fluid and has many other influences on health.
